Hell's Kitchen Oral History Project

During the summer of 2016, The New York Public Library's Community Oral History Project is working with youth from the NYPL High School Innovation Labs program at Columbus Library to conduct oral history interviews with people who have either lived or worked in the Hell's Kitchen area. Our goal is to celebrate, preserve, and document Hell's Kitchen neighborhood history through these audio interviews. They'll be posted on our website and preserved at The Milstein Division for US History, Local History, and Genealogy for current and future generations to learn from and explore.
Please contact oralhistory@nypl.org for further information.
